International analysts are correct in suggesting that Pakistan's Telecom sector with six fierce competitors will benefit greatly from innovation.

Telenor spokesperson stated this at the launch of Telenor's "2nd minute low price concept" - a novel offer and a GSM industry first, clearly designed to meet customer needs.

Telenor Chief Marketing Officer Bjorn Taale Sandberg said that surveys upon surveys show that the Pakistani customers like to talk longer than 30 seconds or even one-minute and that the "2nd minute low price concept" benefits the customer by making it easier to have a longer and more meaningful conversation.

Telenor Pakistan's "Talk More" campaign introduces the concept of "2nd minute low price", meaning that a Telenor prepaid will have on-net rate of Rs 2.45 for the first minute, which later reduces to Rs 1.45 for the remaining airtime, whereas from the Telenor prepaid to any other network the initial minute charge is Rs 3.45 and the remaining talk time costs Rs 2.45. This offer is valid till the end of this year.

Bjorn said, "Customers should read between the lines when judging value propositions presented by different operators. They will find that Telenor has constantly brought customer-relevant innovations, first EasyLoad and Unlimited Validity, and now this."-PR
